Republic of Sakha (Yakutia): the top layer of the coating is laid on the reconstruction site of the Umnas highway

In the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), thanks to the national project "Safe high-quality roads" on the section from 11 to 20 km, the reconstruction of the section of the Umnas highway is being completed.

Experts have already completed the laying of the lower layer of asphalt concrete with a thickness of 13 cm. The construction of the upper (5 cm) is underway. At the same time, work is underway on the arrangement of sidewalks, the installation of curbs, lighting poles. In addition, the installation of noise screens has begun.

"In the project, we take into account the comfort of those who live near the road. According to the project, we will install over 1,000 noise screens in certain places. Their total length will be 3 km, "said Sergei Dyachkovsky, head of the capital construction department of the Administration.

Let us remind you that the Umnas highway is one of the main highways of the republic. It connects the capital of the region with the Khangalassky and Olekminsky districts. In addition, the road is a popular tourist route: it leads to the Lensky and Sinsky pillars, many tourist complexes located on the left bank of the Lena, the Orto Doida zoo and other favorite recreation areas of the Yakutians.

"I would like to note that within the framework of the national project, this segment from 11 km to 20 km will meet all safety requirements. We are moving at a faster pace, "said Anatoly Potapov, First Deputy Minister of Transport and Roads of the Republic.

The deadline for the four-lane section is scheduled for October 2024.
