The introduction of an intelligent transport system continues in the Ryazan region

In the Korablinsky district of the Ryazan region, as part of the introduction of an intelligent transport system, the modernization of a traffic light facility located at the intersection of the Ryazan – Ryazhsk – Alexander –Nevsky – Dankov – Efremov and Pekhlets – Korablino – Skopin highways was completed. The work was carried out according to the national project «Safe Quality Roads».

The traffic light was equipped with an automatic traffic control system, which regulates traffic flows depending on the current situation on the roads. In total, today there are 10 such traffic lights on the regional and inter-municipal roads of the region. In practice, their work in adaptive control mode showed itself on the positive side: the waiting time for drivers to wait for a traffic light signal significantly decreased, as a result, the throughput at intersections increased, and the level of comfort of movement for all users of transport increased.

In addition, this year, seven meteorological posts were installed on the regional roads of the Ryazan region, which determine the weather and intensity of precipitation in real time. The complexes appeared in Ryazan, Korablinsky, Spassky, Pronsky districts, as well as on Bolshaya Street in Ryazan.

Also this year in the Ryazan region it is planned to install 10 detectors of transport flows. The work will take place on seven sections of regional highways. With the help of this equipment, road services will be able to receive information about traffic flow, highway load and roadway wear.

Recall that in 2022, in the territory of the Ryazan region, as part of the introduction of an intelligent transport system, five traffic lights with an adaptive control system, 17 transport detectors and four meteorological posts were installed on sections of regional roads. 20 surveillance cameras were also installed, with the help of which the most busy sections of roads and intersections are monitored.
