Overhaul of the Kirov Bridge is nearing completion in Kurgan

Overhaul of the bridge over the Tobol River along Kirov Street in Kurgan went to the finish line. Construction and installation work is carried out according to the national project «Safe Quality Roads».

The Kirovsky bridge plays an important role in the functioning of the transport network of the regional center. The state of the structures of the structure in recent years has caused constant complaints and serious concerns among both motorists and pedestrians: since its construction in 1995, repair work, especially capital, has not been carried out.

The length of the Kirov bridge ― 124.56 pg. m. Now the upper layer of asphalt is laid at the facility and the slopes are strengthened. Next, workers will begin updating the footpaths. Note that after the repair, the sidewalk will expand.

As part of the integrated approach, decorative lighting and lighting of the structure itself are provided, as well as the repair of the adjacent section of Kirov Street to Klimov Street. The appearance of the updated bridge will harmonize with the nearby city embankment.

Now the carriageway is completely blocked for traffic. Additional bus routes have been organized for Mound residents permanently residing in horticulture.

According to the contract, the contractor must complete the entire scope of work by June 1, 2023.
