In 2021, thanks to the national project «Safe quality roads», 14 urban agglomerations received new public transport.
«Within the scope of the national project, much attention is paid not only to bringing roads and highways into a normative state, but also to updating public transport, since the safety of passenger transportation depends on it. This year, the regions received 477 units of modern rolling stock — 324 buses and 153 trolleybuses. This work will be continued next year», said Alexey Bakirei, Director of the Department of State Policy in the Field of Automobile and Urban Passenger Transport of the Ministry of Transport of Russia.
This year, new trolleybuses and buses have been delivered to Voronezh, Yekaterinburg, Ivanovo, Kazan, Kemerovo, Krasnoyarsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Perm, Samara-Tolyatti, Saratov and Cherepovets agglomerations.
The transport is equipped in accordance with all modern requirements and provides comfortable and safe transportation of passengers. Thus, residents of Saratov positively assessed the convenience and functionality of the Admiral trolleybus cabin, which the region received this year in the amount of 70 units.
«When trolleybuses arrived in the city, I stood and waited for it at the bus stop, I was wondering what it was like. Inside it has USB connectors for charging gadgets, air conditioning, which is very important for our steppe region, where 35 degrees above zero is not uncommon, modern display boards. The feeling of comfort level, as if you are in the capital», said passenger Anton Smirnov.
In addition, the entire rolling stock is equipped to transport passengers with disabilities and people with limited mobility. The transport has a low floor and folding ramps. Representatives of the Samara city public organization of wheelchair users «Desnitsa Association» tested the capabilities of 22 Admiral trolleybuses that appeared in the city this year thanks to the national project.
«This is a straight «A»! The Admiral not only looks good, but, most importantly, it is ready to receive passengers with special needs, including people with disabilities. The payment terminal is also very conveniently arranged – it is installed in the zone of maximum accessibility for all passengers», shared his impressions Evgeny Pecherskikh, Chairman of the public organization of wheelchair users «Desnitsa Association».
It is important to note that all transport coming to the regions under the national project is eco-friendly. For example, 60 new buses of the NEFAZ brand running on liquefied gas have been added to the Yekaterinburg bus fleet this year.
«The new buses run on gas fuel. It is economical and eco-friendly. With the arrival of this batch of vehicles, the municipal fleet has been updated by 70%. In the end, we will transfer all urban public transport to eco-friendly fuel», said the Governor of the Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvashev.
We recall that measures to upgrade urban passenger transport are carried out within the scope of the federal project «Modernization of passenger transport in urban agglomerations» with the use of leasing, namely by granting carriers the right to purchase vehicles at a discount of 60% of their cost.
