Bryansk region: work on the construction of a bridge across the Bolva River reached the finish line

Thanks to the national project "Safe high-quality roads" in the Bryansk region, a bridge over the Bolva River is being built at the entrance to the city of Fokino. The length of the structure is – 173 g. m, approaches to it – 0.5 km.

The construction site reached the finish line: reverse traffic with traffic lights was organized on the new bridge. The second lane is still closed, work is underway to connect the surface of the structure with the roadway. The facility has new electric lighting, a barrier fence.

In the coming days, the contractor will completely arrange the lower layer of asphalt concrete pavement at the junction of the road that connects Bryansk, the new bridge and Fokino. The construction of sidewalks is also fully completed. The plans include laying the top layer of asphalt concrete pavement and marking.

The new bridge over Bolva is reinforced concrete, reinforced. It is designed for a constant flow of heavy equipment from the cement plant. The former structure, which has served for more than 70 years, has already begun to be dismantled. Note that two more protective dams will be built in its place.

Recall that the bridge over Bolva is the only opportunity to get to Fokino for both residents and heavy trucks of the cement plant. After completion of all construction work, the area near the bridge will be landscaped, and the riverbed will be cleaned.

In total, thanks to the national project, in 2024 in the Bryansk region will lead to the standards of more than 78 km of the regional and local road network, as well as 4 artificial structures.
